Why?

The Least Intrusive Minimally Aversive (LIMA) dog training method offers several benefits for both dogs and their human companions:

1. Builds Trust: LIMA focuses on positive reinforcement, creating a positive association with training and building trust between dogs and their owners or trainers. This stronger bond leads to a more positive relationship.

2. Encourages Good Behavior: By emphasizing positive reinforcement, LIMA encourages dogs to repeat desired behaviors and make good choices. This results in better behavior and improved obedience.

3. Avoids Negative Effects: LIMA avoids punishment-based methods such as choke chains and shock collars. Instead, it prioritizes techniques that minimize fear, aggression, or physical injury in dogs.

4. Emotionally Balanced Dogs: LIMA’s nurturing and understanding approach contributes to emotionally balanced and happy dogs.

Remember, LIMA is not just about tools—it’s about constantly monitoring the dogs we work with for undue stress, anxiety, and fear, and using techniques that minimize these negative emotions
